Annual General Meeting 2025
This years AGM will take place on the 16th January 2025 at 8.00pm in The Indigo Lounge at Clontarf Castle Hotel.
What a weekend it was in Lahinch, despite the best that the weather could throw at our hardy society stalwarts, it was a great weekend! The town of Lahinch was hopping; with members having to queue to get into the bars! While the golfing gods were not at their kindest, they did give us a definite highlight – a Hole-in-One scored by Brendan Fagan, only the third in the societies history. Our new Hole-in One sponsor, Vincent Clarke, was not expecting that the prize fund be dipped into quite so early on in his tenure. Our hearty congratulations go to Brendan on his great accomplishment.
Well done also to Tony Judge on achieving a winning score of 31 points in treacherous conditions. Our current Player of the Year leader Louis O’Carroll grabbed the runner up spot on 30 points. Gay Pollard completed the podium on a score of 27 points; the scoring clearly reflecting the very difficult conditions on course. In the ‘Nearest the Pin without scoring a hole-in-one Competition’, Louis O’Carroll was rewarded for his accuracy. On a very tough days golf; congratulations go to all the prize winners & indeed, those who simply managed to complete a round! Our sponsor Ed Cronnelly (Bidcon) presented a fantastic array of prizes at the Lahinch outing, & we thank him sincerely for his support.
