Your Hon Sec came across this great website recently while looking up the details of the venue for the 2011 British Open Championship. You too can play Royal St. Georges & get a feel for the venue before the professionals fight it out in earnest for the Claret Jug. The site is called ‘World Golf Tour’. It allows us golf enthusiasts to play realistic golf tournaments for free, plays from virtually any browser with no download or software needed; complete with High Resolution 3D graphics faithfully reproducing a range of famous golf courses.

Login to the site & you can start playing on some great World golf courses such as Kiawah Island, Pinehurst, St. Andrews, Celtic Manor,  Pebble Beach, your can even try to emulate Rory McIlroys great feat at Congressional! You compete for credits that will improve your equipment. It’s a great bit of fun but it looks like there is some very serious competition.
