The Links, Portmarnock

Golfing season is now fully upon us and I’m delighted to say that our first outing to The Links, Portmarnock is just around the corner.   Our sponsor is the Airport Driving School and Derek Erskine.  The course is booked for Saturday 28th March, tee 9.30am to 12.10pm.  Sign-on night will be Thursday 19th March, 8.00pm in Knight’s Bar in The Clontarf Castle.  The fee at sign-on night will be €65 which includes 2’s and charity donation.  (It’s an additional €10 if not paid on the night).

Prize presentation will be in Knight’s Bar in The Castle at 6.30pm.  Please do support our sponsors by attending – the more, the merrier, and the early start gives you plenty of time if you have other arrangements for the evening.   As well as the sponsor’s wonderful prizes, as it is the first outing of the year, we will also be playing for The Memorial Trophy, which we do in honour of our dear departed members and friends.

Matchplays

The singles and fourball matchplay draws have been done and will be available to view on the website in a few days.  We have an increased number of entrants this year and it has never been as important to get the matches played by the due dates.  Your competition secretary, Mick Kenny, will be ruthless!  Remember, it is the responsibility of all players to make early contact to make arrangements.
