ROSSES POINT & WOODENBRIDGE

Dear Member,

I have reproduced a letter below from the Captain of Rosses Point Tom Horkin and our reply from Tony Buckley Course coordinator on behalf of the society.
Apart from thanking our sponsors Eco Mod and the Menton brothers Malachy and Colm for their generous sponsorship. I think the content of both letters below leave nothing that I can add that reflects the enjoyment of the members who were lucky enough to be there…

Captain Mick,

On behalf of County Sligo Golf Club and our members I would like to thank the organisers and members of Clontarf Castle Golf Society and you especially for selecting to play here last Friday for the first time in your societies illustrious history. I hope you enjoyed the village, the course and the welcome you received.
You are by far and away the best organised, best presented and best sponsored society we have had to our links in quite some time.
It was an absolute pleasure to play with you and be a part of your day and I will wear your CCGS cuff links with pride.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank your sponsor Malachy Menton for being the perfect host throughout the day.
The visit has ensured that there will always be a special welcome for Clontarf Castle Golf Society here and we look forward to seeing you back here in not to distant future.

Regards

Tom Horkan. Captain

Co. Sligo Golf Club @ Rosses Point

Dear Captain Tom.

On behalf of our Captain Michael and members of the Clontarf Castle Golf Society, I would like to thank you for your hospitality and kind words in the letter received. To say we had a ball on our visit to Co. Sligo Golf Club is an understatement, everything was superb. Some great golf was enjoyed and a wonderful party afterwards in the club house. Sincere thanks to David and all of the staff.
I took the liberty of putting up a review on Trip Advisor. We are already talking about a return visit.

Until the next time.
Kind regards.

Tony Buckley.
Course Co-ordinator.

WOODENBRIDGE.

Without doubt this place is a little piece of what I imagine Heaven could look like. A beautiful golf course in a setting created by nature that is simply magnificent .
Even if you are having an “off” day with the clubs just take in the wonderful scenery surrounding you. It will most definitely take your mind off the dodgy round you may be having. Hopefully this will not be the case and your golf and uninterrupted stunning views
will make for a great day out. .
