Welcome to 2017 – Laytown & Bettystown Outing

Dear Member,

On behalf of Captain Michael Norton and the committee welcome to what promises to be another fantastic season since our formation way back in 1988. We particularly welcome our new members and hope to see you at every outing throughout the year.

We start the ball rolling with a long overdue return visit to Laytown & Bettystown Golf Club on Friday the 31st March. The timesheet will be available on Thursday the 23rd of March from 8.00pm until 9.30pm.
The tee is booked from 9.50am. until 12.20pm. The green-fee is €55 and as usual if paid on the night it will only cost €45 which of course includes our 2s. and Nearest the pin competitions.

In memory of our members who have passed away we will also compete for the Memorial trophy which bears their names.

Our thanks to fellow members Declan (The Barber) Murphy and Kevin (Ace Plasterer) Maher who are kindly co-sponsoring the day.

The prize presentation will take place at approx. 8.15pm. in the Knights Bar, Clontarf Castle following the outing.
Please remember prize winners must be present to receive their prize. The management in the Castle have always been very generous to us and we ask that you the members endeavour to attend and support both the sponsors and the Castle for the prize giving. You might even go home with a prize.

You are always welcome to bring family and friends to the prize giving and enjoy the delicious finger food courtesy of our hosts Clontarf Castle Hotel.

The attendance message particularly applies to the “magicians” in our society aka the car-park golfers. They materialise on the first tee but manage to do a disappearing act following what was probably a disappointing round of golf.

FINALLY
At time of writing the trips to Rosses point and Cascais in Portugal are fully booked up. If you are still debating about travelling please let me know and I will add your name to the waiting list.

We look forward to seeing you at the time-sheet night and throughout the year. Best wishes for all of your plans in 2017
