SEPTEMBER Newsletter

Dear Member,

Druid’s Glen can conjure up a lot of clichés to describe the day. However tempted I may be I will stay away from “magic wands”, “potions” and other Harry Potterisms etc. and stick to reality.

A truly amazing performance on the part of Brian O Callaghan, who romped home with a score of 42 points to win the Stephen Mooney & Joe OFlaherty sponsored outing.

Conor Gallagher came close with 40 points to take second place with Derek Erskine three shots back to clinch the third slot.

What better way to spend a day out starting in a glen famed for its Druids and finishing in the company of the memories the Knights of Clontarf Castle. Wicked day!!  (sorry couldn’t resist it)

The course and the beautiful weather made for a great days golf and the prize presentation later in the evening in the Knights Bar simply put the icing on the cake. Our thanks to the management at Clontarf Castle for their hospitality.

We would also like to extend our thanks to Joe and Stephen for the great prizes.
