Another fabulous day out for the society was had at Killeen Castle Golf Club. The outing was sponsored once again by Brendan Fagan and Stock Design and it’s worth mentioning that this was Brendan’s 19th year to sponsor an outing with the society – very much appreciated by all the members!  The course was in outstanding condition and played extremely tough on the day, as reflected in the scoring.

Congratulations to new member John Brereton, who won first prize with an excellent score of 33 points. Well done also to new member Victor Buckley who took second place with a score of 31 points , winning on a countback over Dominic Murray.  Well done to all the prize winners, full results as follows:

Matchplays

The very competitive matchplay competitions are nearing a finish.  In the singles final Mick Chambers and Kingsley Lewis will battle it out, while in the fourball semis Tony Buckley & Tony Judge play Fintan Phelan & Joe Holden in the top half of the draw, while Stephen Mooney & Joe O’Flaherty face off against Maurice Griffin & Sean Guirke.  Best of luck to all!
