Results from Bettystown/Laytown

Dear Member,

I think all will agree we had a most magnificent day, weather wise, for the outing to the links at Bettystown/Laytown Golf Club. The many sunburned faces in the bar afterwards were testiment to that!

It’s true that the golf was great too! Despite a seemingly benign character, calm conditions & what looked like a short course; CCGS members were certainly tested on the Bettystown/Laytown links. The words ‘local knowledge’ very much come to mind! George Corrigan accepted the winning plaudits on the day with a great round, finishing on 37 points. Tom Bruton was just pipped into runner up on countback, recording the same score. David Cassidy finished on a fine 36 points to claim the second runner up spot.
