October Newsletter

Dear Member,

Our last outing to Carton House was an outstanding success for the society. A day of mixed emotions weather wise was complimented with a wonderful golf course and greens smoother than sheets of glass. Making it to the green in regulation was handy enough regardless of handicaps and that’s where the fun really started. A simple three foot putt could find the unfortunate “putter” with another go at the hole, only this time from 20ft. Many a card was ruined on these super slick greens.
However as is always the case we had a few experts who tamed everything the course had to throw at them.

THE WINNERS
John Gaffney carded a magnificent 43 points, three clear of Gabriel Pollard with Alan Leonard a shot behind to clinch third place.

THE CLASSES
Captain Tony Judge 38 points. John Oppermann 35 points and Jim Dalton 37 points won the Class prizes.

THE NINES
Kevin Griffin and Tony Casey won the front and back nine respectively

NTP. Was won by Glen Behan

THE TWOS
