Dan Mahon masters the links at Baltray

Reports from our outing to County Louth Golf Club are always positive and this year is no exception.  Members were treated to the usual fine fare that we’ve come to expect at Baltray both before and after golf.  All round, staff were very welcoming as always and the course was in fantastic condition.

From Tony Buckley:

Next up is our long awaited trip to Donegal, where we will play two fantastic Irish links courses, lets hope the good weather holds.

The itinerary is a 3-night stay in the Central hotel www.centralhoteldonegal.com  in Donegal town, arriving Thursday week the 8th June, returning home on Sunday, BB & one evening Meal.  Sponsors Rory & Conor Gallagher, Gallagher Quigley Estate Agents. Note there are two sister hotels side by side, the Abbey and the Central, we are in the Central.  Best route is Cavan / Enniskillen circa 3 hours 10 mins drive.

Golf in Donegal Golf Club, Murvagh www.donegalgolfclub.ie on Friday and Narin & Portnoo www.narinandportnoolinks.com on Saturday, 2-day event, tee in both courses is 10.30 am.  Murvagh is just outside the town whilst Narin is 39 km away but on twisty roads – allow 50 mins for the drive and as always you must check in 15 mins before your tee time with Bryan. Best route to Narin is through Inver and Ardara on the N56 and then onto the R262.

As before, this is a 36 hole competition, with your score from day one counting for POY.  Presentation dinner in the hotel on Saturday night at 8.00pm.  We will have NTP on day one and the prizes for best front & back nine will become best first day / best second days scores. We also have a special prize for the best turned out golfer, judged by our sponsors Rory & Conor.

See below time sheets for both days.  Gents, please be aware of your pace of play, we simply ask that you keep up with the game in front and therefore we all get the same enjoyment from our outing.

Note, all monies are now paid to the hotel and golf courses.  Sorry no refunds for late cancellation is possible.  Timesheets for both days are as follows:
