Away Trip to Cambrills Gallery

Dear Member.
Baltray and Sutton winner Noel McGrane is certainly having a Schumacher season so far. What is a Schumacher season you ask? Its simply a question of who is going to come second. With a combined total of 83 points after two outings he is showing some serious form which I have no doubt he hopes to bring to Ballyliffin.
The Baltray course and good weather made for a great days golf with a time-sheet of members that was overflowing. All credit to Bryan Kenny for ensuring that no one was left in the car-park polishing their clubs.
Our thanks to sponsor Tadgh O Meara and Kish Fish for their continued generous sponsorship.
On the subject of full time-sheets. We are seeing an upward trend in the number of members wanting to participate this year. Consequently to be fair to all members we are now enforcing the time-sheet rule.
Members must be in attendance to enable them to request the time slot they wish to play in. Members who arrive first will have choice of slots.
Members who are not present and pay through a third party will be facilitated with available times when all attendees are accommodated.
Payment of green-fees will be accepted from 8.00pm until 9.30pm. on time-sheet night. Subject to availability.
Payments received after 9.30pm. may not avail of the discount offered and will pay the full green-fee as published in the newsletter.

PORTUGAL

CAPTAINS DAY.
It has been decided to reduce the number of outings attended by members from three to two this year to qualify to win the Captains prize.
The rules governing members in their first year in the society remain unchanged and they are not eligible to win the Captains prize. All other prizes on the day are there for the taking for non qualifiers and new members.
The reason for this change is due to Captains day being played a month earlier than usual and the away outing to Ballyliffin. This effectively reduces the opportunity of members to complete three cards.
Yours sincerely
Michael Brennan
Honorary secretary
