JULY Newsletter

Dear Member,

My apologies for the late arrival of the July newsletter. Unavoidable due to circumstances beyond our control.

KILLEEN CASTLE OUTING.
Another great day out by all accounts with a very hotly contested stroke-play competition that saw Barry Murray emerge as Champion for 2015. Michael Connolly and Mantan Walshe were second and third respectively.
The Classes were won by Ian Mackey, Paul Traynor and Dave Walshe.
The Nines went to Hugh Ward and Kevin Griffin
Nearest the pin was won by Mick Slein which is somewhat ironic as the man in the lighting business wins a set of candle holders.

Our thanks to Brendan Fagan and Stock Design who sponsored the day.
Congratulations to Brendan and Stock who  have just won a Global Innovation award at the recent International Housewares show in Chicago for the best home-wares shop in Ireland. According to Brendan it only took them 40 years to achieve this. If you want to check out who they were up against in the competition go to http://www.housewares.org/gia/15/ .

THE K CLUB.
Great to be heading back to play one of the best courses in Ireland and one that always guarantees a big turnout.
The outing takes place this coming Friday and all details re. tee times etc. are on the website.

Our thanks to Conor Gallagher of Gallagher Quigley Estates  for sponsoring this outing.
Judging by the number of “for sale and sold signs” bearing their name ,they are fast becoming the leading estate agents on the North-side. Conor might contradict me on this and declare” that they already are”.
At the rate they are selling houses in South Hill I will have no friends left here.

Please note that dinner can be ordered as you come in after the game and the prize presentation will take place in the K Club within 30 minutes of the final four-ball completing their round.

PORTUGAL
We will be looking for final payment for this event by end of August. The trip is fully booked out.

Yours sincerely
Michael Brennan
Honorary secretary.
