Captain’s Prize 2023 Update

Dear Member,

Regrettably, I must inform you of an amendment to the results of our Captain’s Day outing to the Royal Dublin Golf Club. Our fellow member and friend, Seán Reid, has reported to Captain Stephen and myself that an incorrect score was entered on his card. In realising this, Seán has commendably requested that his card be disqualified, as he had signed for a lower score on the day. We are, of course, bound by the rules of golf in our society and must accept that Seán’s card be disqualified.

We commiserate with Seán, who played some wonderful golf on the day and thank him also for his sportsmanlike conduct in reporting this to the Captain. Seán is keen to pass on his apologies to the committee and members alike.

We must also congratulate George Corrigan, who had the best eligible score on the day and is the winner of The Captain’s Prize 2023. Captain Stephen is keen to get a photo up soon with George and present him with his prize. The amended results are as follows:

2023 Captain’s Cup Winner – George Corrigan (15) 35pts
