Our visit to Concra Wood last Saturday was another outstanding success in this years calendar. We got a fantastic course in weather conditions that were simply perfect. Considering the snow, ice and rain we had to contend with at the start of the season it is as though we transported our more recent outings to another country. Long may it last!

The winner at Concra Wood was non other than our Captain Tony Buckley carding 41 points. Having played a pretty flawless round he won by 2 points from second placed Kieran O’Connell on 39 points. Derek Mooney’s amazing return to form scored a pretty impressive 36 points to take third place on the podium.

BUNCLODY GOLF CLUB
The time-sheet will be available at 8.00pm until 9.30 pm on Thursday the 15th. August. The green-fee is € 60.00 with payment on the night entitling you to a discount of €10.00. A day out at Bunclody for €50.00 is fantastic value.

The Tee is booked for Saturday the 24th. August from 10.30am until 12.20pm. The society will not be arranging transport for this outing. Our sponsor for the Bunclody outing is Brendan Fagan and Stock Design.

Please remember our dress code at all outings and please note the use of mobile phones on the course will get you a two shot penalty.
Please notify the Starter when returning your card if you are unable to remain for the prize presentation. If you are in the prizes you must be present to be eligible to receive it. Your score will count for Player of the year and you will receive a cut in your handicap should your score warrant it. However, your prize will go to the next in line who remains at the venue for the presentation.

SPAIN
We still have a couple of seats available for the full package at €400. This offer will close on the 24th. August.

DEFIBRILLATOR
The starter will always have the Defibrillator at the outings . This is usually Bryan Kenny. We have approximately thirty members who are fully trained in CPR and a good percentage of them attend each outing.

When you are having the full Irish with extra toast before teeing off you can feel safe in the knowledge that help is not to far away should you be unfortunate enough to need it.
