Dear Member,

With one outing under our belts and the next one almost upon us, it feels like business as usual with the year flying by already!

Laytown and Bettystown

Our return visit to Laytown and Bettystown Golf Club was another successful day out for the society.  A well laid out track with some fine golf holes and the greens were in great condition.  59 golfers teed it up in what proved to be a tough windy day.

Congratulations to George Corrigan who turned in the winning score – a fantastic 39 points, which just pipped Philip McGowan on a count back, and Andy Flynn in third place with a fine score of 37 points.  Full results below.

Much appreciation to our quartet of sponsors, Paul & Dave O’Halloran, Fraser McMullen and Paul Goti, who laid on a selection of fine wines for our prizes.  Well done to Captain Malachy who handled proceedings admirably back in the Castle and thanks as always to the Clontarf Castle for looking after us so well.
