Dear Member, I trust this email finds you well and looking forward to Christmas. If you’re fed up reading election...
Dear Member,
Tony Judges captains day at Royal Dublin was without doubt one of the most successful outings we have had since the formation of the society back in 1988. We were presented with a superb course. Great food provided by the club with the entertainment courtesy of John Plunkett and Myki Heather. It would be remiss of me not to mention the amazing weather for August, it was actually sunny.
Our thanks to Captain Tony Judge and Clubs to Hire for the great array of prizes on the day.
THE CAPTAINS DAY WINNERS
Conor Gallagher was the winner of the Captains prize with an incredible score of 43 points. Tadgh O Meara was runner up with an equally impressive 41 points and Louis O Carroll romped home in third place with 39 points, normally more than enough to win an outing.
The class prizes went to Joe O Flaherty, Kieran O Connell and Michael Brennan all with 36 points.
The nines were won by Malachy Menton with 23 points and Declan Murphy on 19 points.
For the full list of winners please check the website.
On a personal note it was great to see Grellan Murray and Tadg O Sullivan at the Captains dinner. On behalf of the membership we wish you well and look forward to your return to competing with the society. You never know the handicap committee might even consider giving you back a shot or two.
