County Louth GC, Baltray

We enjoyed another wonderful day out with our return to County Louth Golf Club. The outing was kindly sponsored by Mick Slein & National Lighting and Mick eloquently reminded us if the importance of supporting our sponsors with a call to “Buy more lights!”

Well done to Brendan Fagan who ably stood in for Captain Tony.  In Brendan’s words, the course was simply magnificent throughout and staff and catering were fantastic as always.

Congratulations to Chris Cadwell for carding the best of the day with a superb score of 39 points. Well done also to Kingsley Lewis in second place with 37 points & Brian Pennie beaten into 3rd place on a countback with 37 points.  Full results as follows:

Connemara Links, Ballyconneely, 3 – 6 June

Our Gallagher Quigley Estate Agents sponsored away trip to the west is almost upon us. We head west on Wednesday 3rd staying in The Abbeyglen Castle in Clifden. Don’t forget your package includes 3 evening meals in the hotel and the general opening hours for the restaurant are 7.00 to 9.00pm. Please be sure to settle any drinks bills directly with the hotel.

Tee times on Thursday and Friday are 10.00am to 12.00pm and we will share the draw for both days as soon as it has been made. Please arrange directly with the club if you wish to book a buggy at this number (095) 23502.

As we have done in recent years, this will be a 2-day championship with prizes sponsored by Gallagher Quigley Estate Agents for overall winner, 2nd & 3rd, classes & seniors across the 2 days and Day 1 & Day 2 best scores also.  Of course, don’t forget the much coveted sponsors prize for best dressed golfer.

NTP prizes sponsored by Tara Group & Michael Brennan are on offer for both days.
