Dear Member,

We must be doing something right! Three fantastic outings back to back. The latest being our trip to Waterville. The praise and tributes following our recent visit have been pouring in all week. Lets hope the word “pouring” doesn’t put the mockers on the rest of the season.
The committee always endeavour to make every outing better than the last one and Waterville was no exception. A special word of thanks must go to Tony Buckley as Course liaison officer for the enormous amount of behind the scenes work and preparation that was put into this exceptional trip.
In my 28 years as a society member I have never heard so many compliments paid to a golf course. I am starting to feel really sorry for myself that I missed an opportunity to visit Paradise.

No doubt Conor Gallagher is feeling very happy with himself chalking up his third win in the last eight outings. Conors score of 37 points clinched the top spot with second and third places going to Mantan Walshe and Andy Flynn both scoring 35 points.

Eagles are a very rare sight in to-days Ireland with a small number being released in Kerry and Donegal some years back, However it seems that some of the Waterville contingent were present when one landed on Conor Gallaghers scorecard .
Looking back over the number of eagles recorded by our members you could be forgiven for thinking that they are still extinct in this part of the world.

Just for the record if Conor continues to appear in the winners enclosure he will be the first member to have a plus sign before his handicap.

The outing will take place on Friday the 17th. of June. Morning tee time.

The time-sheet will be available on Thursday the 9th. of June from 8.00pm. until 9.30pm.

The green-fee is €60. Show up and pay on the night and you will get it for €50. ( Aldi or Lidl would find that price hard to beat )

Clubs to Hire have a selection of clubs available for this trip. Please contact Mick Kenny at 087-2348502 as soon as possible to secure your set. Clubs may not be available from Clubs to Hire if you do not book now.

MATCHPLAYS

Please arrange and play your matches within the deadline. Failure to do so could result in disqualification. Please report the outcome of your game to the Competition secretary Shay Fleming.
